In 2024, IDB Invest strengthened its impact-driven approach, expanding its presence across Latin America and the Caribbean with the approval of a $3.5 billion capital increase.

The Management Grievance Mechanism (MGM)—the channel for individuals, communities, and groups to raise environmental or social concerns related to projects financed or under consideration by IDB Invest—played a key role in enhancing stakeholder engagement throughout the region.

The Mechanism received 27 grievances during 2024, marking a 58% increase compared to the previous year. This rise reflects growing awareness of and trust in the system.
