Project scope and objective

The proposed project includes a financing mechanism consisting of a senior revolving warehouse facility of up to US$30 million, the proceeds of which will be used to purchase and accumulate mortgage loans through eligible Endorsable Mortgage Credits (“EMCs”) and housing leasing contracts to individuals in Chile, with a particular focus on gender and inclusion. The facility will serve as a line of credit to an investment fund managed by Ameris. Both the EMCs and the housing leasing contracts will be accumulated for future asset-backed securitization. This transaction will support and improve access to finance for individuals in Chile, thereby reducing the existing housing deficit.

For projects approved as of 2016, any gaps with respect to IDB Invest's Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy at the time of the ESDD are addressed in the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) presented below, to comply with the date mentioned above.
