Project scope and objective
The proposed financing consists of a loan of up to US$125 million for Trabajos Marítimos S.A. (Tramarsa) and Terminal Internacional del Sur S.A. (Tisur) to restructure Tramarsa’s and Tisur’s existing debt in line with the financial structure planned for the next phase of the Matarani Port Terminal expansion, and to finance the technical, environmental, engineering, and financial studies that will support such expansion.
The objective of the port expansion is to increase its capacity and operational efficiency to handle higher cargo volumes and strengthen regional connectivity and competitiveness by reducing logistics costs and transit times.
