Project scope and objective

IDB Invest has proposed an investment of up to: (i) the equivalent of US$40 million in Colombian pesos; and (ii) 20% of the Fund’s total commitments. The Project consists of a capital investment in the Fondo de Capital Privado Credicorp Capital Deuda Privada I (the "Fund"), a private credit fund created to provide tailored debt financing solutions for Mid-Market Enterprises (“MMEs”) in Colombia.

The Fund will be managed by Credicorp Capital Colombia S.A. (the “Fund Manager”), a subsidiary of Credicorp Ltd. (“Credicorp”), the largest financial holding in Peru and a leader in the Andean region. The Fund will invest in private debt instruments (primarily direct loans, but potentially also corporate bonds, securitized bonds, or others). The Fund will have an investment period of four years and a total life of ten years.

Environmental and social review

The ESDD will confirm the project E&S categorization and assess the project with respect to the client requirements in IDB Invest Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy. The results of the ESDD, including any identified gaps are described in the Environmental and Social Review Summary (ESRS) provided below. For projects approved as of 2016, any gaps with respect to IDB Invest's Environmental and Social Sustainability Policy at the time of the ESDD are addressed in the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) presented below, to comply with the date mentioned above.
