Almacenes de Prati S.A. is an Ecuadorian company founded more than 85 years ago, dedicated to retail trade and direct consumer credit services. It operates a network of in-place stores and an e-commerce platform.
The transaction consist of financing an investment plan of up to US$50 million to support the growth of Almacenes de Prati S.A. in Ecuador. The financing will be comprised of two facilities: (i) a committed, senior secured facility of up to US$20 million, with a term of up to ten years, intended to finance the construction of a new distribution center in Durán; and (ii) an uncommitted, senior secured facility of up to US$30 million, with a similar term, aimed at supporting the company's store expansion and modernization plan. With this transaction, IDB Invest seeks to strengthen the logistics and commercial infrastructure of one of the country's textile retail companies.
