Project scope and objective
La transacción consiste en un préstamo A/B senior no garantizado de hasta US$60 millones (el “Proyecto” o el “Préstamo") a ser otorgado a Banco Davivienda (Costa Rica) S.A. (“Davivienda” o el “Banco”) con un plazo de hasta cinco años a partir del desembolso, incluyendo dos años de periodo de gracia para pagos de principal. El BID y BID Invest fondearán hasta US$30 millones en partes iguales de US$15 millones cada uno del Préstamo. La porción remanente será cubierta por uno o varios participantes externos (“Préstamo B"). El objetivo principal del financiamiento es ampliar las carteras y financiamiento del Banco hacia proyectos verdes en Costa Rica. De igual forma, el Proyecto podrá contar con un componente de Servicios de Asesoría Técnica (“AT”) brindada por BID Invest para fortalecer nuevas estrategias y nichos de negocio para su portafolio verde.
