Project scope and objective
Provisión de financiamiento corporativo garantizado de largo plazo a Air-e S.A.S. E.S.P. (la “Compañía o Aire”). Aire es la tercera empresa de distribución y comercialización de energía en Colombia, atiende 1,25 millones de usuarios en los departamentos de Atlántico, La Guajira y Magdalena. En 2020, la Compañía fue seleccionada por el gobierno nacional para asumir la explotación de la red eléctrica regional sustituyendo al anterior operador con el compromiso de mejorar la eficiencia en la prestación del servicio, incrementar los índices de calidad y reducir las pérdidas de sistema de distribución.
BID Invest participará la financiación a plazo por un monto aproximado de COP 180.000 millones. A través de esta operación, BID Invest busca mejorar la calidad del servicio de electricidad en el área del Caribe colombiano.
